Invest In Yourself If You Want To Be Successful In Business
"Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself", These timeless words by Warren Buffet are the simplest yet most profound words I have seen, which explain why you have to be willing to invest in yourself and develop your own million dollar game plan if you want to be successful in business. I have seen many other quotes from many other respectable mentors, but none as simple yet effective.
Some people have a very strange idea about where they will find success. Pots of gold and rainbows are not the place to look for success, but developing your own million dollar game plan is. Internally is the place to look for true success. All the best success guru's will tell you this persistence and focus, as well as inner belief and making use of your own ability and strength is vital and this kind of belief needs to be practiced.
Your environment and circumstances will not create success for you, although you can learn lessons from them. Only if you are successful in your own mind and you behave as though you are, will this success manifest.
This is a very simple equation, but it is so simple that it is also simple to forget, particularly as we all live our daily lives. The same factors which create life pressures for other people create life pressures for us, and when this happens, everyday choices can become overwhelming. Such as the choice to think, breathe and be successful every single day of your life.
Even though the mind is the greatest assets we own, it can also be a liability. It continually requires reassurance, confidence, improvement and building up. If this doesn't happen, "a man", as Abraham Lincoln said, "will not be wiser today than he was yesterday". He got the idea! Wisdom does not come automatically because you are a day older, continual improvement is the key and this is the only way to become successful.
For example the owner or MD of a company earns 100 or more times the salary that the cleaning lady does, not because they are a better person, but because of the knowledge they have. So if you want to live in abundance, make sure you know how to do this or you may find yourself living in lack.
What you know is what is going to make you successful, what you don't know may however cause failure. People often expect promotions but won't make the effort it takes to learn how to earn the promotion. This is the reason why investing in yourself is vital and successful people know this.
