Building An Artificially Intelligent Website

In an age of rapidly changing and growing internet technology, it's amazing that no one has yet invented an artificially intelligent website. If you were to try to do a search for it online, you would get few if any results. Surely, though, developers are working on it. When the website that can "think" for you arrives, the internet will be a different place than it is today.



Internet marketers would be the first ones to jump on such an advance in technology. In a lot of ways, a website as it is used today is a real time waster. It just sits there in cyberspace waiting for people and search engines to pass by. What if you could program your site to actively look for website traffic and optimize itself for search engines?



Theoretically, it should be relatively easy. Search engine spiders do that sort of thing. Also known as crawlers, they are always crawling around, analyzing websites, articles, blogs, videos and every other kind of content on the net. Why couldn't your website do that from a remote server? It could match keywords from its own content with keywords from other places and then report back to you every morning, giving you the statistics on your competition.



On your end, you could look at the results and then tell the website to alter the content of your website to maximize your chosen keywords or you could tell it to automatically maximize your keyword usage. Who knows, if your website was set up right, you could even get it to do more work for you.



If your website was smart enough to pinpoint relevant and related blog posts and forum entries through a keyword search, why couldn't it also insert your pre- written comments into the posts? The more keywords it had to work with, the more targeted the posts it would find and this would ensure that your comments matched the contents of the forum or blog post.



Let's say your primary keyword was "effective article marketing." There are probably thousands of articles that contain those words. Your intelligent website would scour the web and find those. Then, if the keywords matched, it would insert a brief comment. That might read something like this: "Great post on effective article marketing. I've found some other techniques that work, too."



Conceivably, you could push the content creation and distribution limit even further. There are already programs that can search for articles for you, just as the big search engines do. Why couldn't your website do that automatically and then even use a built-in article spinner to create original content for you? Article spinning software is already getting better all the time. One of these days it will be possible to have a program that can write perfect articles and submit them without you having to lift a finger.



Those are just a few of the things that could be part of an artificially intelligent website. Clearly, when such integrated, intelligent sites become a reality, the internet will be changed forever. It's an exciting concept, but you have to remember, you won't be the only one to have an AI website. Will it be a change for the better or will it be the beginning of the end for internet marketing as we know it?
